The Christiania Lodge is a unique and special place to stay! In this age of "Vail's Renaissance", where many properties are being replaced with large corporate hotels, the Christiania remains one of Vail's only true ski lodges. Located just a block east of Bridge Street in Vail Village, the Christiania is a small European inspired lodge that is both warm and welcoming. Our 22 rooms and suites were renovated in 2007, and feature European furniture and woodwork. Ski right into our backyard during most of the ski season! The Vista Bahn chairlift is just 75 yards out our back door. Our ski valet will store your skis and put your boots on the boot dryers while you head upstairs for a drink in Sarah's Lounge where those "in the know" have relaxed after skiing for several decades. Helmut Fricker still entertains once a week with his combination of Austrian songs, jokes and stories of Vail's past. Head out to our heated outdoor swimming pool/hot tub, relax in our sauna, or check your emails through our complimentary wireless internet. In the morning, start your day with our large continental breakfast ($7.50 per person in winter) before heading out to the slopes. Summer guests will find the same relaxed charm, and will enjoy the short walk to Vail's shops and restaurants as well as the Ford Amphitheater and Betty Ford Gardens. The Christiania Lodge is the perfect place to relax on your vacation, and our friendly staff is here to help you get the most out of all that Vail has to offer! We also manage many privately owned condominiums ranging from studios to a 7 bedroom unit, all located within 2 blocks of the lodge. These fully equipped units offer the comforts of home, and are all within walking distance of Vail Village and the slopes.
